TEXARKANA, Texas — The Texarkana Texas Police Department is investigating after a 5-year-old boy was found dead.
According to the TTPD, around 2 p.m., officers were called to an apartment in the 3300 block of Nichols Dr. on reports of a child not breathing.
When police arrived on scene, they began CPR and the boy was taken to a local hospital where he died a short time later.
"It’s very early in the investigation, so we have a lot more questions than answers right now," the TTPD said. "However, our detectives are working hard to figure exactly out what happened. As soon as we have more information that we can share, we’ll do it. In the meantime, our hearts go out to this little boy’s family and friends who are now dealing with this terrible loss."
