MARSHALL, Texas — Police continue to search for suspect that allegedly fired gun in Marshall neighborhood Thursday afternoon,
According to the Marshall Police Department, officers responded to a reported gunfire in the West Rusk and Adkins area.
Officials said a white man was described wearing 'army gear' and carrying a rifle was reported to have fired one shot in the air.
Marshall Police assistant Chief Jeff Boyd said that at this time all patrol units have left the scene but are still searching for the alleged suspect.
As the search continues, police urge residents to stay indoors and avoid the area if possible.
Police said residents around the West Rusk and Adkins area should stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity by calling 911.
