Pizzeria chain serving New York-style pizza to fill location held by Salsarita's, Roost in Tyler

Parry’s Pizzeria and Taphouse, which has locations in Texas, Arizona, Nevada and Colorado, is set to come to Troup Highway in Tyler.

TYLER, Texas — A new pizzeria serving New York-style pizza and craft beers will occupy the spot once held by Salsarita's and Roost.

Parry’s Pizzeria and Taphouse, which has locations in Texas, Arizona, Nevada and Colorado, is set to come to 3314 Troup Highway in Tyler this winter, according to the city of Tyler permit website and the restaurant's Facebook page.

In February, it was announced that the building that housed Roost on Troup Highway and Salsarita's Fresh Cantina would be demolished for future developments. Salsarita's closed its doors, but Roost said it had plans to relocate at a later date.

The building has since been demolished, and a Facebook post showed Parry's Pizzeria has officially broken ground for the upcoming location. The restaurant is scheduled to open this winter.

Parry's Pizzeria in Tyler will serve "craveably crafted" New York-style pizza, wings, calzones, sandwiches, wraps, salads, pasta, kid’s meals and more.  There will also be 72 taps of rotating craft beers.

The city permit website had previously said the spot would be 5012 Troup Highway, but a second Dunkin' for Tyler is set to be at that address now.

Parry's started in 2007 as a New York-style pizza restaurant, where people could get a quick bite and maybe a beer or a glass of wine, the restaurant's website reads.
