TYLER, Texas — On Wednesday, the non-profit animal shelter Pets Fur People was hacked on Facebook.
This is the second animal shelter in Tyler to be hacked after the SPCA was hacked in late June.
Gayle Helms, the executive director for Pets Fur People, said they were able to take down the post before anybody fell victim.
"Why would you do that to an animal shelter?" Helms said.
The hackers were asking for potential pet owners to fill out an urgent application to secure an appointment to pick up a puppy.
