LONGVIEW, Texas — Another grocery store chain could soon be coming to Longview, welcoming its second location in East Texas.
Sprouts Farmers Market, a store that specializes in natural and organic grocery items, is expected to come to the North Loop Plaza in Longview, specifically at 2547 Judson Road, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
The project information for the Longview Sprouts states the process would begin Sept. 16 this year and conclude Sept. 15, 2025. The estimated cost for the project is $3 million. The construction includes finishing out the interior of an already existing building, according to the TDLR.
The square footage of this Sprouts is expected to be 4,389 feet.
City of Longview spokesperson Richard Yeakley said the city of Longview has received a building plan review application from Sprouts for that address. However, the plan has not yet been approved.
Currently, the nearest Sprouts location and the only one in East Texas is in Tyler, located at 4015 S Broadway Ave.
