4-year-old Ricky wants to get adopted with his younger brother Chance

The brother's foster advocate says whoever adopts these children will have double the blessings.

GRAPEVINE, Texas — Two brothers up for adoption are looking for a forever home, and you can't help but fall in love instantly. Today's Wednesday's Child are 4-year-old Ricky and 2-year-old Chance.

"You spend about two minutes with them and you fall in love."

Kristin Kimball is speaking from experience. She's Chance and Ricky's foster advocate.

"Will always run up and give you these big hugs and make you feel like you're part of their family," said Kimball.

These children are a bundle of joy. WFAA met up with the duo at Peek N Play in Grapevine, and the boys played their hearts out.

They especially enjoyed playing pretend in the kitchen. Ricky prepared pizza, chocolate cake, and served us hot coffee. Chance ran around him the whole time trying to do everything his big brother did.

"They really need a home that's going to engage them, is going to spend a lot of time with them and get to know their sweet little personalities," said Kimball.

Ricky and Chance have been in foster care for nearly their entire lives.

"Chance came in when he was just a couple of weeks old and Ricky was just about a year," said Kimball.

They are bonded to their foster mom, who was emotional off-camera.

"I see Ricky looking at his foster mom. Just seeing that she's upset and really caring for her," said Kimball.

Their foster mom can't adopt them, but she's praying whoever does, will love them immeasurably. Both of the boys have some special needs.

"Ricky just being able to empathize that he might need a little extra time when you talk through things. But once you show him a routine, he's got it," said Kimball.

Chance needs help not overdoing it when he eats food to help keep him safe.

"Chance is funny. He likes to eat. So sometimes you have to remind him to slow down because he might make himself a little bit sick," said Kimball.

She says whoever adopts these children will have double the blessings.

"You just can't help but love them," she said.

Chance and Ricky are curious, smart, and ready to complete a forever family.
