CARTHAGE, Texas — The Carthage Police Department responded to a car crash Tuesday afternoon on N. St. Mary Street that left one woman dead, and one man in critical condition.
The car, a Mazda SUV, was traveling southbound and left the road at the railroad tracks, causing the vehicle to roll into the parking lot of a nearby buisness.
When EMS arrived, the man was transported by helicopter to a nearby trauma center while the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
