LONGVIEW, Texas — The spring 2024 class of nursing students at UT Tyler’s Longview University Center achieved the improbable: All 40 passed their national licensure exam.

“This is rare,” said Autumn Ladd, a UT Tyler clinical instructor and education coordinator. She said she could not remember the last time nursing students achieved a 100% pass rate at any of the three UT Tyler campuses.

The most recent UT Tyler press release highlighting such a feat was published in the summer of 2015, according to an online search. As with the spring 2024 class, the 2015 nursing students were pursuing degrees at Longview’s campus.
