HALLSVILLE — A neighbor of the Tyler nurse charged with murder, William Davis, said she would not have expected this.
Davis was employed by the CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances health system and had been assigned to the Louis and Peaches Owen Heart Hospital since 2013.
According to the affidavit, he is linked to one of the two patient deaths being investigated. The affidavit also states that investigators are looking into one additional death along with the injury of five other patients.
Davis was booked into the Smith County Jail on Tuesday, and his bond was set at $2 million.
Davis has a For Sale Sign in his yard, which is what Freda Lilly said led her to think something wasn't right.
"They just finished building a pool," she said. "It was probably two or three months later, and all of a sudden, there was a for sale sign in the yard. We thought, 'Wow.'"
The Tyler Police Department is still investigating to see if Davis tampered with any other patients.
