MOUNT PLEASANT, Texas — Mount Pleasant ISD is mourning the recent loss of a high school student athlete.
The school district said they are extending their deepest condolences to the family and friends of Trevor Broach, 18, who is a member of the Mount Pleasant High School Class of 2024.
Broach was a member of the Tiger varsity football team, varsity track and field team, National Honor Society and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
According to his obituary, Broach passed away on Saturday, March 30. His celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, at the First Baptist Church of Mt. Pleasant. A candlelight vigil will be held Thursday, April 4 at Sam Parker Stadium at 7 p.m.
"Trevor was more than a son; he was a beacon of light to all who knew him. His infectious smile and warm heart made him a cherished friend to many. Whether on the field, in the classroom, or within his community, he exuded kindness and compassion," his obituary reads. "Though his time with us was too short, Trevor’s legacy of love, kindness, and resilience will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him."
