LINDALE, Texas — A Lindale man is dead following an early December motorcycle crash in Smith County.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), on Dec. 5, Michael Pierce, 52, was riding his motorcycle at an unsafe speed on County Road 411, near Lindale, when he lost control as he approached a curve in the roadway. DPS says Pierce drove off the road and was ejected from the motorcycle.
Pierce was taken to a local hospital and was pronounced dead on Thursday.
The crash is under investigation.
