TYLER, Texas — The city will hold a public meeting about plans for Tyler Pounds Regional Airport at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Historic Aviation Memorial Museum, 150 Airport Drive.

Officials will present anticipated needs for the airport over the next 20 years. The Airport Master Planning process and details of the project will be discussed, the announcement said.

“The master plan serves as a guide for major airport projects such as the airport commercial terminal building, the airport rescue firefighting station and the recently reconstructed new longer and stronger runway are results of previous Master Plan initiatives,” Airport Manager Davis Dickson said. “The airport now can serve a larger segment in the aviation sector as a result of these recent projects.”
