Texas Medical Board suspends Tyler doctor for allegedly violating order stating he couldn't see, treat female patients

The suspension was effective Oct. 24.

TYLER, Texas — A Tyler doctor has been suspended by the Texas Medical Board (TMB) after the board says they determined his practice of medicine posed a "continuing threat to public welfare."

On Tuesday, Oct. 24, the TMB suspended Dr. Kenneth D. Haygood (Lic. No. K2341) for reportedly violating a June 2023 order stating he he could not see or treat female patients.

"A temporary suspension hearing with notice will be held as soon as practicable with 10 days' notice to Dr. Haygood, unless the hearing is specifically waived by Dr. Haygood," the TMB said.

The TMB says the suspension will remain in place pending further action by the board.
