MARSHALL, Texas — A Marshall man was taken into custody Wednesday after he allegedly shot his sister's boyfriend.
According to the Marshall Police Department, around 10:48 p.m. they received a 911 call from a residence in the 1300 block of Evans in Marshall.
Police say a woman told them her brother had just shot her boyfriend.
When officers entered the home, they found a male victim with a gunshot wound to the head in a bedroom.
Paramedics with the Marshall Fire Department determined that the victim, identified as Anniel Dixon, 31, of Marshall was deceased.
The alleged shooter, Earnest Miles Jr, 34 of Marshall was taken into custody without incident.
Miles was booked into the Harrison County Jail charged with one count of murder.
This investigation remains ongoing.
