HENDERSON COUNTY, Texas — Officials say a man drowned Thursday night in the Henderson County area.
According to Payne Springs Fire and Rescue, around 8:30 p.m., officials responded to a drowning in the Hidden Hills Harbor after being told a 40-year-old man had gone underwater and didn't resurface.
Rescue boats were deployed and side-scan sonars were used to locate the victim, whose body was then recovered.
"Our thoughts go out to the friends and family of the victim," PSFR said in a statement.
The victim has not been identified at this time.
