SAN ANTONIO — A man is accused of sexually assaulting a child he met on social media, according to BCSO.
The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office making the arrest after the victim’s father found out.
19-year-old Enrique Gonzalez told deputies he thought the 14-year-old girl was an 18-year-old woman. According to the sheriff’s office, the two met online through an online dating app called "HUD" a month ago. He told deputies he had been picking her up every weekend since they met.
Late Monday night, he was taken into custody by deputies. He was arrested after he picked up the victim at her home over the weekend.
At some point, the girl texted her friend saying she felt sick and even shared her location.
Deputies say when the friend tried get ahold of her and couldn’t, she called the victim’s dad.
Gonzalez returned the girl home the next day and was later arrested. Deputies say he will be charged with sexual assault of a child.
