Lufkin police arrest Minnesota man accused of sexually assaulting two young children

Court documents received from the news station said Suess moved to Lufkin without appearing in court.

LUFKIN, Texas — Lufkin police arrested early Tuesday morning a Minnesota man accused of sexually assaulting two young children and failing to appear in court.

According to police, David Bernard Suess, 46, was taken into custody on a Minnesota warrant connected to sex crimes against children.  His vehicle was found parked outside of a hotel in front of Walmart on South First Street in Lufkin and he was taken into custody around 4 a.m.

Officers notified the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office out of Minnesota of Suess’ arrest. He was taken to the Angelina County Jail, where he remains.

Reports from KAAL-TV in Austin, Minnesota show a warrant was issued after he failed to be in court for accusations of sexually abusing two Freeborn County children from 2011 to 2015.

The first victim was 7 years old and 10 years old at the time of the alleged abuse, and the second victim was about 11, the report stated.
