Longview Regional Medical Center to host peanut butter drive benefiting Longview Community Ministries

Peanut butter is a sought after item due to its high nutritional value and long shelf life. Yet, it is one of the least donated items.

LONGVIEW, Texas — The Longview Regional Medical Center is hosting its second annual Jars of Love Peanut Butter Drive until March 25.

The jars of peanut butter will benefit the Longview Community Ministries in their mission to fight hunger.

According to the Longview Regional Medical Center, peanut butter is a sought after item due to its high nutritional value and long shelf life. Yet, it is one of the least donated items.

“We recognize the impact hunger has on an individual’s health and wellbeing, and we want to help those in our community who are struggling with food insecurity,” Longview Regional Medical Center CEO, Steve Gordon said.
