Kite festival to be hosted by Longview Parks and Rec in March

The festival will consist of demonstrations, inflatables, games, arts and crafts, and kite flying.

LONGVIEW, Texas — The Longview Parks and Recreation Department will host the Longview Kite Festival in March. 

The festival will kick off at noon and run through 4 p.m. on Wednesday, March 13, at Lear Park.

The festival will consist of demonstrations, inflatables, games, arts and crafts, and kite flying. The event is free and families are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs and picnic blankets. 

The first 1,500 people to attend will receive a free kite.
