Longview man gets over 2 years for forcing two women into prostitution

He used his phone to make online advertisements. He made arrangements for anyone who responded to the ad to have sex with the women at a hotel, the warrant said.

LONGVIEW, Texas — A Longview man was sentenced to over two and a half years for forcing two women into prostitution using online ads in 2020.

Fredrick Demone Williams, 42, pleaded guilty to trafficking of a person and two counts of promotion of prostitution. He then received 932 days of confinement for each charge. His sentences will be served at the same time.

An arrest affidavit obtained by the Longview News-Journal said a woman told police she was being forced into prostitution and needed help getting away from Williams. She said she was homeless and Williams had offered to help her about a week earlier.

He used his phone to make online advertisements for the woman and a second woman. He made arrangements for anyone who responded to the ad to have sex with the women at a hotel, the warrant said.

According to the document, the second woman said Williams pushed her and the other woman into prostitution and kept the money. Officers found online advertisements with photos of the two women as well as text messages from clients in Williams’ phone after officers seized it.
