RAPIDES PARISH, La. — A Longview man was killed Thursday evening after a two-vehicle wreck in Rapides Parish, Louisiana.
Miguel Castillo, 32, of Longview had been traveling on I-49, and failed to stop behind the 2019 Freightliner in front of him. He struck the truck from the rear, causing him to swerve out of the lane, entering the median and striking cable barriers in the process according to Louisiana State Police.
Castillo passed away from the injuries he sustained in the wreck in the hospital. The Freightliner driver left unharmed, police said.
The Castillo family has created a GoFundMe in his name to help cover funeral expenses.
