Longview man arrested for driving stolen vehicle from Mt. Pleasant

Fletcher was later charged for aggravated robbery in Titus County and two counts of unauthorized use of a vehicle as well as criminal trespass in Longview.

LONGVIEW, Texas — One man has been arrested for driving a stolen vehicle after being wanted for an aggravated robbery on Saturday in Longview.

Longview police were working in conjunction with Mt. Pleasant officials to recover the suspect's stolen vehicle discovered at the 4500 block of Cannon Street. 

Police were able to identify the suspect as Lakederic Fletcher, 42, of Longview.

Upon arrival of his home, Longview police reported that Fletcher was allegedly armed and refused to exit his residence. 

According to the press release, the LPD SWAT team and crisis negotiators were brought to the home to deescalate the situation.

Fletcher was later charged for aggravated robbery in Titus County and two counts of unauthorized use of a vehicle as well as criminal trespass in Longview.
