LONGVIEW, Texas — Longview ISD trustees got their first glimpse this week of the pool of candidates to replace outgoing Superintendent James Wilcox.
Board President Michael Tubb said he was so excited about the candidates he had trouble getting to sleep Tuesday after a more than five-hour long meeting to review the applications with JG Consulting, the firm hired to help the district with the hiring process.
He said 35 people from all over the United States — most from Texas — applied for the superintendent post.
