LONGVIEW, Texas — A child was injured after being hit by a vehicle near Longview High School Tuesday morning.
According to Longview ISD, the student was struck by the vehicle around 8 a.m., while crossing Airline Dr. near the campus.
The district says the student did not report any injuries. The student’s family was contact and they went home with a parent.
"As a reminder, we encourage all drivers to stay vigilant near our schools, especially during peak hours," Longview ISD said. "We also ask families to remind students to be cautious when crossing streets. Together, we can help keep everyone in our community safe."
