LONGVIEW, Texas — A Longview organization that investigates child abuse cases will begin helping victims and families in Upshur County, replacing the agency that has provided those services there.
The Upshur County Commissioners Court on Friday voted unanimously to approve an operations agreement with the Martin House Children's Advocacy Center and to end the county’s agreement with the Northeast Texas Child Advocacy Center in Winnsboro.
The Martin House will begin serving Upshur County on Monday, the day the termination of the agreement with the Northeast Texas center takes effect.
