HENDERSON, Texas — Police have identified the person accused of committing an armed robbery at an East Texas pharmacy Monday morning.
According to the Henderson police, officers responded to Strong-Hurt Pharmacy, located at 111 E. Main St. in Henderson, due to reports of an armed robbery around 7 a.m.
Following an investigation, police identified a suspect. After obtaining a warrant, the person believed to have robbed the business was arrested and several items were found three hours later, police said.
According to news partners the Henderson News, Justin Tremane Simon, of Henderson, has been charged with aggravated robbery and possession of a controlled substance, following a standoff in his Fair Park area home. His bond has not yet been set.
The Henderson News reported Simon was arrested without incident.
According to Strong-Hurt Pharmacy, everyone is safe. The pharmacy was closed for the beginning part of the day, but has since reopened.
"Please be patient while we get caught up," the pharmacy wrote on Facebook.
Henderson police thanked the Rusk County District Attorney’s Office, Texas Highway Patrol, The Rusk County Sheriff’s Department and the Texas Rangers for assisting in the investigation.
