Tyler musician killed following crash in Tarrant County

Hernandez was the main vocalist for the Tyler based band Petroleros Del Bravo, according to his obituary.

BEDFORD, Texas — A Tyler musician was killed after a wreck Monday in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Heber Hernandez, 24, of Tyler, died at a Fort Worth hospital following a crash on Texas 183, according to the Fort Worth Telegraph.

Hernandez was the main vocalist for the Tyler based band Petroleros Del Bravo for four years, according to his obituary. 

"Growing up, Heber was always the one person who would be able to light up a room with his presence. He had the most contagious smile. His impact on the people around him and his power to bring life and joy into us is just one of the many gifts that God had blessed him with. He was truly a person who we admired and looked up to," the obituary said.

Petroleros Del Bravo is a popular band in the Tyler area with over 20,000 Instagram followers. 

Church services for Hernandez's funeral are scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Friday, March 22, at the Centro Familiar Cristiano Church in Tyler. His funeral will be at the Tyler Memorial Cemetery at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 24.
