City of Nacogdoches rescinds boil water notice

Due to a loss of water pressure, city officials are issuing a mandatory boil water notice for residents living south of Main Street.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas — The city of Nacogdoches has rescinded its boil water notice for residents living in the area south of Main Street.

On Sunday morning, city officials reported at 9 a.m. a large water line broke on Old Lufkin Road and caused a shortage of water to residents living on the south end.

The water in the area is now safe to consume without boiling.
