Lindale Championship Rodeo celebrates 37 years this weekend

Gates open every night Thursday through Saturday at 6 p.m. at the Cross Brand Cowboy Church, located at 11915 FM 2015 in Tyler.

LINDALE, Texas — The 37th annual Lindale Championship Rodeo kicks off Thursday and continues through the weekend with roping, bull riding, clown acts, barrel racing and more. 

Gates open every night Thursday through Saturday at 6 p.m. at the Cross Brand Cowboy Church, located at 11915 FM 2015 in Tyler. The mutton bustin' for the kids will be at 6:15 p.m. The devotional and national anthem will be at 7:25 p.m. The rodeo events start at 7 p.m. 

The events include: bareback riding, steer wrestling, cash scramble (for ages 0 to 3 and ages 4 to 6), breakaway roping, saddle bronc riding, ranch bronc riding, clown acts, calf roping, team roping, bull riding, barrel racing, junior barrels and bull fighting. 

Thursday night is Pink Out Night to support those affected by cancer. Friday night is Blue Out Night to support law enforcement, service men and women and first responders. Saturday night is Rhinestone Cowboy Night for people to wear their best cowboy and cowgirl attire in celebration of Western heritage.
