OVERTON, Texas — A Leverett's Chapel ISD student accused of making a threat was removed from campus on Wednesday.
Superintendent Matthew L. Everett said in a letter to community members that school personnel was alerted to a potential threat made by a student. He said the situation was addressed and law enforcement was contacted.
Police removed the student believed to have made the threat from campus, Everett said.
Everett said that at "no time were students or staff in immediate danger, and all necessary steps were taken to ensure the continued safety" of the students and staff.
