KILGORE, Texas — The Kilgore Police Department recently welcomed the newest addition to their squadron, K9 Officer Santo!
Officer Santo was obtained by Texas K9 Solutions, LLC in Gregg County. Santo is a young Belgian Malinois who recently completed his intensive training and will be working alongside Officer Kaleb Watson beginning on Friday.
Some of his skills include searching out drugs, finding objects, conducting building searches, tracking, and protecting his partner.
Officer Santo's induction was proceeded by K9 Drogon who retired early due to several health problems and is now living with his handler.
