Kilgore ISD moves to design phase for new $3.1 million CTE building

Kilgore ISD board trustees unanimously approved moving ahead with the process of designing a new, $3.1 million career and technical education building.

KILGORE, Texas — Kilgore ISD board trustees unanimously approved moving ahead with the process of designing a new, $3.1 million career and technical education building at their Monday board meeting.

Representatives from Claycomb Architects attended the meeting to discuss the design phase of the project. Claycomb is one of the firms hired by the district for the ongoing construction of the new Kilgore High School.

The design of the new CTE facility calls for a 14,300 square foot building to be located on the same campus as the new high school currently being constructed. The budget of $3.1 million is for the building itself and does not include furniture, fixtures and equipment.
