Kilgore College sophomore Rangerettes to perform in Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade — but they'll look a little different

The sophomore Rangerettes have been invited to lead the Spirit of America performance in the parade, according to members of Rangerettes Forever.

KILGORE, Texas — The sophomore members of America's most famous drill team will perform in the annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City.

The sophomore Kilgore College Rangerettes have been invited to lead the Spirit of America performance in the parade, according to members of Rangerettes Forever. However, they won't be in their traditional red, white and blue uniforms. They'll be wearing maroon and gold Spirit of America costumes. 

"Since the Rangerettes performed last year in their red, white and blue, parade rules dictate that they wait five years before they perform again as the Kilgore College Rangerettes," said former Rangerette Martha Hale Deen in a Facebook post. "We are so proud that they have this exciting performance opportunity!
