TYLER, Texas — The Kilgore College Rangerettes announced Friday they will hold a special performance Oct. 19 at the Arabella of Kilgore Senior Living possibly featuring Merry Moores, a 79-year-old former member.
"We're flipping out with excitement for Merry's Miracle Moment!" Activities Director of The Hamptons in Tyler, Merry’s senior community Sara Teichgraeber said. "She's not just a fan—she's family to the Rangerettes. Watching her face light up during the performance and maybe even seeing her join the show will be priceless."
Moores was a member of the Rangerettes from 1963 to 1965, and played a role in creating the popularity for the group that they have today.
She is hoping to join the group once again as they perform for those in attendance.
The event will take place at 11 a.m.
