KILGORE, Texas — Kilgore College officially broke ground this week for its CDL Driver Training Track as part of a major expansion of the KC Transportation Institute.
A groundbreaking ceremony was Monday at the future home of the new track at 4931 FM 349 in Kilgore, next to the Texas Department of Public Safety Commercial Driver’s License Testing Office. The track facility will include classroom space.
KC’s collaborative partnership with the Kilgore Economic Development Corp. resulted in securing the tract of land — a large space that will allow for future expansions with the goal of becoming a fully equipped transportation training institute including classroom space, according to the college.
