LIST: East Texas' ultimate summer pool guide

See which cities are gearing up to launch their new summer pool hours and aquatic activities.

TYLER, Texas — Get ready to make a splash this summer! Heading out to the pools and splash pads are a perfect activity for families and youth looking to beat the heat while soaking up the sun. 

Here is a list of the current pools and splash pads offered in the East Texas community. 

Longview

Ingram Pool 1400 N. Tenth St. (903) 753-9012

  • Open Monday through Saturday from 12:30 to 6 p.m., closed on Sunday.
    • Accessible features include chair lifts and a walk-in pool.
  • For more information and hours on the splashpads, visit longviewtexas.gov.

(Entry will cost $1 for Splash Day Saturday, June 3)

Longview Swim Center 1111 W. Fairmont St. (903) 297-3774 

  • Open Monday through Thursday and Saturday through Sunday from 12:30 to 6 p.m.
    • Accessible features include chair lifts and a walk-in pool.

(Entry will cost $1 for Splash Day Saturday, June 3)

Due to continuous repairs, the lap pool at the Longview Swim Center will be closed for the duration of the season.

Entry fees:

  • Ages 2 and under FREE
  • Youth (ages 3-17) $2
  • Adult (ages 18 and up) $3

Upcoming aquatic events:

  • Itty Bitty Beach Party on June 24
  • Dive In Movie viewing on July 7

Notice: Due to a lifeguard shortage, Splash Day was postponed to June 3.

Tyler

Fun Forest Pool 900 N Glenwood Blvd (903) 531-1370

  • Mondays are closed to the public and Tuesdays are reserved for special event rentals
  • Wednesday through Friday noon to 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 to 6 p.m. 
  • Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Entry fees (cash only):

  • Residents $1/session
  • Non-Residents $2/session
    • Proof of a valid ID is required for entry to the pool. Children 15 and younger must be accompanied by an adult (21 and older) at all times. 

Fun Forest Pool is currently looking for lifeguards and must be able to work during the open pool hours. The starting pay is $13/hour. For more information visit the cityoftyler.org or call (903) 531-1370.

Nacogdoches

Lehmann Swim Center 2712 Park St (936) 568-9988

Pool hours for May 30 to Aug. 14

  • Monday to Friday from 7 to 8:30 a.m., noon to 2 p.m.
  • Monday through Thursday 7 to 9 p.m.
  • Saturday from noon to 2 p.m.

Entry fee:

  • Daily fee of $5 or $60 punch card (valid for 20 visits)

Lehmann Pool will be closed Tuesday, July 4 for Independence Day.

Have a birthday coming up? Individuals interested can schedule their party rental through the Boys and Girls Club.

Lufkin

Pool hours for May 30 to Aug. 12

  • Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Monday through Thursday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
  • Saturday from noon to 2 p.m.

Entry fee:

  • Daily fee of $3 or $50 punch card (valid for 20 visits)

Lufkin Pool will be closed Tuesday, July 4 for Independence Day.
