Junior League of Tyler's annual fundraiser Mistletoe and Magic kicks off this week

The events start Wednesday at the W.T. Brookshire Conference Center in Tyler with a preview party.

TYLER, Texas — This is the 45th year for Mistletoe and Magic, the Junior League of Tyler's largest annual fundraiser benefitting local nonprofit agencies and community programs within Smith County.

It also serves as a great way for friends and family to get their Christmas shopping done locally. The event brings in 75 merchants from all over the country.

Susanne Mackintosh, owner of Susanne Elizabeth Jewelry in Tyler, has participated in Mistletoe and Magic since 2018.

"I love being a part of Mistletoe and Magic because you get to meet so many people in your community and really showcase your art or your talent or whatever it is that you may sell. There's a lot of people that come through Mistletoe and Magic every year that are seeing your business for the first time that maybe wouldn't otherwise," Mackintosh said.

Mistletoe and Magic supports small businesses and giving back to the community.

"This allows us to help fund various agencies within the Smith County area. And so we're happy to be able to help in that capacity," said Alyssa Allare, chairman of Mistletoe and Magic.

The events start Wednesday at the W.T. Brookshire Conference Center in Tyler with a preview party. Events will continue on Thursday and Friday with a brunch and private shopping, and Saturday is the big event with Santa.
