Police said the woman was walking eastbound on the tracks and she didn't respond to train warning horns.

Police said the woman, identified as Guillmerina Vera Perez, 65, of Jacksonville, was walking eastbound on the tracks and she didn't respond to train warning horns. When the train hit her, it came to a stop and the crew contacted emergency services for help. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash happened just before 1 p.m. west of US Highway 69 on the Union Pacific rail line.
