Longview police car hits another vehicle after not yielding right of way

Police said there were no significant injuries sustained because of the crash.

LONGVIEW, Texas — A Longview police car struck another vehicle Thursday afternoon after failing to yield the right of way.

The police vehicle, a 2020 Chevy Tahoe, failed to yield right of way to a 2016 BMW in the intersection of South High Street and Avalon Avenue, according to an initial investigation.

Police said there were no significant injuries sustained because of the crash, and an investigation is ongoing at this time.
