Officials release additional information after 1 killed, 2 injured following Harrison County shooting

The investigation is ongoing.

HARRISON COUNTY, Texas — The Harrison County Sheriff's Office is investigating after one person was killed and two others were hurt in a Sunday afternoon shooting.

According to the HCSO, around 11:30 a.m., deputies responded to a shooting at 372 Mitchell Rd. Officials say they were told Derrick Jamison, 24, had been shot by his uncle, Bryan Jamison, at the home of Derrick's grandmother Audrey Jamison, 65.

Upon arrival, officials found Derrick dead. Bryan had two gunshot wounds to the leg and buttocks. Audrey had a head wound from debris that occurred as as result of the shooting. Bryan and Audrey were taken to a local hospital for treatment. 

The shooting stemmed from an argument between Derrick and Bryan after Audrey told Derrick to move out and get a job, the HCSO said.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
