RUSK, Texas — Two people were injured following a two-vehicle crash Tuesday in Cherokee County.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, troopers were called to the scene of a crash involving a Rusk ISD bus and an SUV near the intersection of CR 2117 and CR 2116 in Cherokee County.
DPS reports the SUV failed to yield the right-of-way at a stop sign and struck the school bus.
One student was taken to a Jacksonville medical center. The driver of the SUV was flown to a Tyler hospital and their condition is unknown.
