SULPHUR SPRINGS, Texas — Law enforcement detained juveniles Friday for allegedly making threats against Sulphur Springs ISD.
This comes after Superintendent Deana Steeber said in a letter that the juveniles made violent threats against the district on social media. The devices believed by police to have been used to make the posts have been retrieved.
"Posts of this nature that threaten violence, whether credible or a hoax, is a crime," Steeber said. "We will have zero tolerance. We will take each one seriously and respond with severe consequences."
The suspects were detained in the metroplex, but they have not been identified due to their age.
