POLICE: 14-year-old Texas boy killed in targeted attack

Police said the shooter fired several shots through a window and into a bedroom, hitting the teen multiple times.

HOUSTON — Houston police are looking for the person who shot and killed a 14-year-old boy in southeast Houston early this morning.

The shooting happened a little after midnight at an apartment complex on Broadway Street just north of Hobby Airport. We're told the suspect left the scene before officers got there.

Investigators believe the teenager was targeted. They said the shooter fired several shots from outside the apartment through a window and into a bedroom, hitting the teen multiple times. The teen was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
