RUSK COUNTY, Texas — No injuries were reported following a Friday morning house fire in Rusk County.
According to the Rusk County Office of Emergency Management, officials were called to the scene of the blaze on CR 421 around 1:15 a.m..
Departments who responded to the scene included:
- Henderson Fire Department
- Carlisle Volunteer Fire Department
- New London Volunteer Fire Department
- Rusk County Fire Marshal
As of 3:30 a.m., the fire was brought under control and all occupants were able to safely get out of the residence thanks to alerts from smoke detectors.
"The residence has suffered major damage in the attic area and will be assessed further in daylight.," the Rusk County OEM said.
