It's "out with the old, in with the new" for the building that once stood at Triumph Village in Tyler.
Tuesday was demo day for the HiWay 80 Rescue Mission at Triumph Village.
"It's going to be where men will come that want to go into the new creation discipleship program, part of the program is for them getting established into a church and getting a mentor," says Elizabeth Murphy, HiWay 80 board member
Crews tore down what was an old barn to build cottages that will help rebuild shattered lives.
"Just seeing the lives that have been changed over the last decade through the program that has been in Longview is amazing to see," says Stephanie Vasso, a HiWay 80 board member.
For several years, the mission has been working to increase services to the homeless in Tyler and with the groundbreaking on Tuesday, it will happen.
The HiWay 80 Rescue Mission serves homeless and hurting in Longview right now, but come December will help those in Tyler as well.
