Hiway 80 Rescue Mission has locations in both Tyler and Longview. Due to the increase of people they are asking for financial and food donations.
"The summer months create extra expenses and more people come to us for help." Associate Director Rusty Fennel said. "We have to be ready to help anyone in need."
Hiway 80 also provides rehabilitation programs. They believe through a relationship with Christ a person can be changed.
"I am an example of how Jesus can change your life for the better." Program participant Robert Hall said. "If Hiway 80 shuts its doors down, East Texas would lose a vital resource."
