Hallsville quarterback recovering after suffering serious injury in game vs. Pine Tree

A statement released by Josh's family has regained movement and is able to feel his extremities and is now in a neck brace.

HALLSVILLE, Texas — Hallsville quarterback Josh Seal is now recovering after he was carted off the field toward the end of the fourth quarter Friday night in the Bobcats' game against Pine Tree.

A statement released by Josh's family has regained movement and is able to feel his extremities and is now in a neck brace. The family said he will follow up with a neurologist next week.

"We’re proud of the football team and the way they continue to play hard and look forward to finishing the season strong," the Seal family said. "Go Bobcats!"

According to the Marshall News Messenger, after Pine Tree turned the ball over on downs at the Hallsville 14-yard line, the Bobcats had the ball down 3 with just under 2:30 left and a chance to tie or win the game.

However, Seal suffered what appeared to be a very serious injury and was taken off the field via stretcher.

Pine Tree would go on to win the game 30-27.

CBS19 will provide more information as it's made available.
