GLADEWATER, Texas — Gladewater ISD will be closing their campuses until Monday, Feb. 5 due to a rising number of flu cases.
According to Gladewater ISD secretary Melissa Dennis, GISD will be closed on Thursday, Feb. 1 and Friday, Feb. 2 to sanitize the campuses and offices to reduce the spread of illness.
The school district plans on reopening Monday, Feb. 5 on normal schedule.
"The health and safety of students and employees is our top priority," the press release said.
