Fundraiser at local Whataburgers to benefit Tyler Patrolman's Blue Santa shopping spree with kids

Every December, the Tyler Patrolman's Association hosts shopping sprees for children, where they receive about $100 to shop at Walmart with local first responders.

When you go out to Whataburger Tuesday night, your purchase will be helping kids in need. Half of the proceeds from 5 to 7 p.m. will toward funding the Tyler Patrolman's Blue Santa shopping spree in December. 

Every December, the Tyler Patrolman's Association hosts shopping sprees for children, where they receive about $100 to shop at Walmart with local law enforcement officers and first responders. This year's shopping events will be held next week at two of the Tyler Walmarts. 

On Tuesday, there will be about 13 Whataburgers throughout Tyler, Whitehouse, Bullard and East Texas will be hosting the O' Whatanight fundraiser. Half of the money that these locations earn from 5 to 7 p.m. will go to the Tyler-area Blue Santa. Several first responders will be present at the participating Whataburgers Tuesday night.
