Texas State Parks celebrates 100th anniversary with free entry to all parks this weekend

East Texas state parks will take part in the Centennial celebration by offering free admission on Sunday.

The Texas State Park is celebrating their Centennial anniversary with free entry to any state park in Texas this Sunday.

As part of their 100th celebration of state protection, all 88 Texas State Parks will participate in Texas State Parks Day.

Eight East Texas state parks will take part in the free admission day. Below is a list of parks:

Caddo Lake State Park

Located in Karnack, this park is open from 8:15 a.m. - 4:45 p.m.

Daingerfield State Park

Located in Daingerfield, this park is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Lake Bob Sandlin State Park

Located in Pittsburg, this park is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Lake Tawakoni State Park

Located in Wills Point, this park is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Martin Creek Lake State Park

Located in Tatum, this park is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Mission Tejas State Park

Located in Grapeland, this park is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Purtis Creek State Park

Located in Eustace, this park is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Tyler State Park

Located in Tyler, this park is open from 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.

As Veterans Day approaches, the Tyler State Park wants to remind the community if you're an active service member or have served, to stop by their office for a lifetime pass to the park.
